Security forces kill five Indian proxy terrorists in two KP IBOs

RAWALPINDI: Security forces eliminated 10 Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Lal Qila area of Lower Dir, while seven soldiers embraced martyrdom, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following credible reports about the presence of Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists. A fierce exchange of fire ensued, in which 10 militants were killed.

The ISPR confirmed that the martyred soldiers included Naik Abdul Jaleel, Naik Gul Jan, Lance Naik Azmatullah, Sepoy Abdul Malik, Sepoy Muhammad Amjad, Sepoy Muhammad Dawood, and Sepoy Fazal Qayyum. They laid down their lives while attempting to rescue civilians held hostage by the militants.

The statement further noted intelligence confirming the direct involvement of Afghan nationals in these incidents. It added that Pakistan expects the interim Afghan government to fulfill its responsibilities and ensure that Afghan soil is not used for activities against its neighboring country.
