Over 10 vehicles of the Excise and Taxation department were gutted after a fire erupted in its building near Motorway Plaza in Peshawar on Sunday.
Bilal Ahmad Faizi, spokesperson for the Rescue 1122, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, told Pakhtun Digital that a fire broke out in a building of the Excise and Taxation department near the toll plaza of Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway.
He said over 10 vehicles of different types were gutted in the incident. However, the fire was brought under control after the hectic efforts made by their firefighter team.
He added that four fire tenders and 1 ambulance, and a number of rescue firefighters took part in the rescue work.

A sudden fire erupted at the Ring Road area of Peshawar in Pak Afghan Goods warehouse in the early hours of Saturday, prompting a swift response from Rescue 1122 Peshawar.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, officials said. Upon receiving the alert, Rescue 1122 dispatched 10 firefighting vehicles and an ambulance to the scene.
Firefighters worked diligently to control the blaze, which was extinguished from multiple sides. The cooling process is currently underway to prevent any reignition.

District Emergency Officer Ghayur Mushtaq Khan confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident.
The quick response of Rescue 1122 personnel ensured the fire was contained without further damage or harm.
