The operation took place in the Parrai area of Barikot Tehsil, where the terrorists unexpectedly opened fire on a police team. However, the security personnel responded swiftly and neutralised the three attackers.

These three terrorists were wanted by law enforcement agencies for various terrorism-related offences, with Ajmal being named in nine different cases.

A large number of women took to the streets in Peshawar city on Friday, protesting against the menace of honour killing. They condemned the tragic murder of a couple in Balochistan.

The Bol Athto Movement organised a protest demonstration outside the Peshawar Press Club, condemning the recent murder of a woman in Balochistan, allegedly committed in the name of honour.

The protesters held banners and placards with slogans denouncing the killing of women under the guise of honour. The demonstration was led by Farah Khalil of the Bol Athto Movement, who stated that the primary goal of the protest was to put an end to the ongoing violence committed in the name of honour.

Khalil emphasised that society has unjustly associated honour solely with women, calling for an end to the prevailing contradictions between men and women. She urged the government to take concrete measures to protect women from honour-based violence throughout the country.

Participants in the demonstration vocally demanded better protection for women. Many of the women present voiced their concerns, questioning the concept of honour when women are denied their rightful share of inheritance. They highlighted that despite existing laws, women continue to be targeted in the name of honour, and insisted that the series of honour-based killings must come to an end. The demonstrators called on the government to address this serious issue.
