4.7 magnitude earthquake shakes parts of KP

SWAT: An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 was felt in Swat and nearby regions, causing panic among residents who rushed out of their homes in fear.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range at the junction of Afghanistan and Pakistan, with a depth of 205 kilometers underground.

As the shocks were felt, people began reciting the Kalma-e-Tayyaba and moved out of buildings for safety. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.

The district administration has urged citizens to avoid spreading rumors and to immediately contact rescue services in case of any emergency related to the earthquake.

It is worth mentioning that earthquakes originating from the Hindu Kush mountain range frequently impact various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
