BUNER: The 13th passing out parade was held today at the Police Training School in Buner, where 462 recruits successfully completed their training. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Training Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abdul Ghafoor Khan Afridi, as the special guest.
Senior police officials, including SP Training Hikum Khan, District Police Officer Saood Khan, and Deputy Commissioner Kashif Qayyum, along with media representatives and families of the recruits, were present at the event. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a salute to the special guest. Awards and certificates were given to top-performing trainees.
In his speech, DIG Afridi emphasized that police duties are like worship and constables are the backbone of the force. He stressed the need for modern training in cybersecurity, intelligence, and technology to prepare police for future challenges.
The parade featured martial arts, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) drills, and firing demonstrations, which were highly praised. The event concluded with DIG Afridi paying tribute at the martyrs’ memorial and planting a tree under the Clean and Green Pakistan campaign to promote environmental awarenes
