KP Intensifies Operations: 48 Held for Instability in Kurram District

8 Arrested in KP Crackdown on Kurram Violence, Chief Secretary Vows Zero Tolerance

 

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah announced on Friday that 48 individuals allegedly involved in recent acts of violence and instability in Kurram district have been arrested in ongoing operations against disruptive elements in Kurram tribal district..

During a high-level meeting in Kohat chaired by the Chief Secretary and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), it was decided to intensify operations against terrorist elements involved in recent incidents. “We have arrested 48 people involved in the recent incidents,” Shah stated, emphasizing the government’s commitment to restoring peace and order in the region.

Shah vowed to take strict action against not only the miscreants but also their facilitators, warning that no one would be allowed to challenge the state’s authority. “A zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against those who shelter or cooperate with terrorists. We will foil every conspiracy against the people of Kurram,” he asserted. He also praised the efforts of the KP police, Pakistan Army, and other security forces for their bravery in maintaining peace.

During an event honouring the Khoat police, Shahab Ali Shah praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and security forces for their courageous efforts in combating terrorism. In his speech, he commended their bravery and urged them to remain steadfast in ensuring the safety and security of the nation. He emphasized that no one would be allowed to disturb the law and order in the province, reaffirming the commitment to maintaining peace and stability.
