SHANGLA: Two first cousins were killed when a mini jeep plunged into a deep gorge in the Khwar Dehrai Shahpur area of Kana tehsil on Friday afternoon.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Karora police station, Amjad Alam Khan, reported that the jeep was returning from Khwar Dehrai to Shahpur after dropping off passengers when it fell into the gorge for unknown reasons. The SHO mentioned that the poor condition of the road and a possible technical fault could have contributed to the accident.
Both young men, the jeep driver Akbar Hussain and his cousin Umar Ali, died at the scene. Their bodies were transported to a nearby hospital and later handed over to their families after the necessary medico-legal procedures were completed.
