PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP held a key meeting at Governor House chaired by Provincial President Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi as the special guest. The gathering focused on finalizing plans for the party’s upcoming “Save the Province” protest on May 26 against the KP government.
Governor Kundi expressed PPP’s reservations about federal policies affecting public welfare, stating the central leadership takes these issues seriously. He praised party workers’ dedication and lauded Bacha for organizing the ticket holders’ meeting.
The meeting passed resolutions honoring Pakistan Armed Forces’ success in Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos, paying tribute to martyred soldiers and civilians. Participants also commended Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his international advocacy on Pakistan’s stance, particularly regarding Kashmir.
Strongly condemning the KP government’s alleged corruption and mismanagement, attendees declared the protest essential for the province’s survival. The meeting concluded with reaffirmed confidence in Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership and Provincial President Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha.
