President praises professional excellence of armed forces

RAWALPINDI: President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their swift and decisive response to recent aggression, stating that history would remember how they repelled the attack within hours with exceptional precision and resolve—demonstrating the nation’s strength, resilience, and unity.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the president made these remarks during his visit to Gujranwala Cantonment. He was accompanied by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and was received by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.

President Zardari commended the professionalism and unwavering determination displayed by the armed forces during Marqa-e-Haq, applauding their courage in the face of unprovoked aggression.

He also paid tribute to the military and civilian martyrs who laid down their lives in defence of the country, emphasizing that their sacrifices are a sacred trust and a lasting source of national pride.

Extending his congratulations on the successful completion of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, the president expressed deep pride in the armed forces, calling them the true guardians of Pakistan’s honour and sovereignty. He reaffirmed the nation’s highest regard for its soldiers.

Senior commanders from the Mangla and Gujranwala Corps were also present during the visit.
