The Kalash tribe has paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Army for its valiant response to India in retaliation for its cowardly attacks on Pakistan.
A Tanksgiving Day (Youm-i-Tashakur) ceremony was held with great enthusiasm in the Kalash Valley in Chitral district on Monday. The event took place at Government High School Rombor, organised with the cooperation of PPAF, GAP, and the Pakistan Army. Dignitaries, local ladies and gentlemen, elders, and students participated wholeheartedly.
During the ceremony, children showcased various performances that added to the event’s splendour. Residents expressed their solidarity with the Pakistan Army and praised the courage and bravery of the forces for their successful operation that diffused recent Indo-Pakistan tensions. They expressed satisfaction with the army’s achievements and thanked the Pakistan Army for its appropriate response.
Notable figures in attendance included Colonel Khurram Majeed, Major Mohd Syed, Executive Director of GAP Babar Khan, and Headmaster Mukhtar. Their participation encouraged the locals and reaffirmed their commitment to stand alongside the Pakistan Army.
In their speeches, local leaders and students expressed pride in the Pakistan Army and promised support for the defence forces in challenging times. At the end of the ceremony, the audience acknowledged the sacrifices and services of the Pakistan Army, conveying a strong message of solidarity.
The program promoted themes of peace, love, and unity in the Kalash Valley. The attendees returned home with renewed courage and determination, expressing their deep connection to their national institutions.
