Gold price rises by Rs4,000 per Tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: On Monday, May 19, 2025, the price of 24-karat gold per tola experienced a rise of Rs4,000, reaching Rs342,500, compared to Rs338,500 the day before, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Additionally, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs3,429, now at Rs293,638, while the price for 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased to Rs270,348.

Meanwhile, the prices of silver, both per tola and per ten grams, remained steady, closing at Rs3,410 and Rs2,923, respectively. In the international market, gold prices climbed by $40 to $3,241, up from $3,201, and silver prices also saw a rise of $0.24 to settle at $32.52, according to the Association.

In contrast, the rates for 24-karat gold in Saudi Arabia continued to decline, recorded at 4,497 SAR per tola on the same day. According to Forex.pk, the current value of 10 grams of 24-karat gold in Saudi Arabia is SAR 3,859, while an ounce of gold is priced at 12,004 Saudi Riyals.
