The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) strongly denies the news broadcast on a private TV channel, claiming that PTA has prepared a list of YouTube channels for blocking in the context of the anti-state campaign or has sent such a list to the federal government.

The PTA clarifies that the mandate of the organisation is limited to removing or blocking illegal online content, as stipulated in the “Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016” and its related rules and regulations. Legal action, investigation and judicial action regarding anti-state or hateful content are the responsibility of the relevant law enforcement agencies.
