Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur chaired a series of meetings to review the progress of the Annual Development Program (ADP). The seven-hour-long session on Tuesday assessed ongoing projects in key sectors, including higher education, health, livestock, agriculture, revenue, and communication & construction.
Cabinet members, Additional Chief Secretary Planning, administrative secretaries, and other officials attended the meeting. The Chief Minister directed authorities to ensure timely completion of projects without compromising quality. He emphasized 100% utilization of development funds by the end of the financial year and prioritized finishing schemes with over 80% progress.
Gandapur stressed that only projects benefiting the public directly should be included in the next ADP. He highlighted food security as a major challenge and called for modernizing the livestock and agriculture sectors through tunnel farming, vertical farming, and digitization.
The Chief Minister also instructed officials to prioritize road sector projects nearing completion and consult elected representatives for new schemes. Health and education remain top priorities, with plans to upgrade facilities in remote areas and improve schools. Additionally, he urged faster progress on computerizing revenue records and service delivery centers.
