MARDAN: Including father, three members of a family were killed in a shooting incident over a land dispute in the Gariala area of Tehsil Rustam of Mardan district on Thursday. The rescue official said.
They said the deceased included a father and his two sons.
According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, Mardan, a 55-year-old Qubad, a 26-year-old Ali, and a 29-year-old Shiraz died in the shooting. The rescue medical team has shifted the bodies to Shahbaz Garhi Hospital.
Police say that the initial investigation into the incident has revealed that there was a land dispute between the parties, based on which this tragic incident took place. The victims and the accused are close relatives.
Police have cordoned off the area and started an investigation, while operations are underway to arrest the accused.
