Lahore Qalandars defeated Karachi Kings by 6 wickets in the first qualifier of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.
Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings faced each other in the first qualifier at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, where Kings won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 190 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
David Warner stood out for Karachi with 75 runs, while Khushdil Shah played an unbeaten innings of 27 runs. Irfan Khan played an innings of 18, Tim Seifert and Muhammad Nabi played an innings of 16 runs each.
Haris Rauf took 3 wickets and Shaheen Afridi took 2 wickets for Lahore.
In reply, Lahore Qalandars achieved the desired target in 18.4 overs for the loss of 4 wickets and qualified for Eliminator 2, while Karachi Kings’ journey in the event came to an end.
For Lahore, Abdullah Shafiq played an important role in the team’s victory by playing an innings of 65 runs, while other players included Fakhar Zaman 47, Kusal Perera 30 and Rajapaksa 23 runs.
It should be remembered that in Elementor 2, Lahore Qalandars will face Islamabad United on Friday and the winner of the match will face Quetta Gladiators in the final.
