KP CM declares Tehsil Alai as separate district

CM Gandapur blames federal govt for worsening law and order in KP

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa declared Tehsil Alai of district Battagram as a separate district and announced that funds would be allocated for the development of the area in the upcoming annual developmental program.

 

A meeting of elected public representatives of Hazara Division was held under the auspices of Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur. Beside speaker of the Provincial Assembly, members of the National and Provincial Assembly of Hazara Division and high officials of the divisional administration participated.

 

The meeting took the members of the provincial Assembly on board regarding the preparation of the next annual development program of Hazara Division. The meeting also reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects in Hazara Division.

 

On this occasion, the participants welcomed the decision of Chief Minister to declare Tehsil Alai as a separate district. The participants of the meeting said that this was long long-standing demand of the people of the area as they were deprived of basic facilities due to the remoteness of the area from district Headquarter.

 

They said that the people of the area are deeply grateful to the Chief Minister for this decision, public representatives. It was the decision of PTI founding Chairman Imran Khan, who promised the people to declare the Tehsil as a separate district.
