The Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) has increased its Outpatient Department (OPD) fee, citing the reason as current inflation.
In a notification, the KTH management on Friday said that they had increased the fee for OPD and emergency services.
The OPD and emergency fees of the Khyber Teaching Hospital in the provincial capital Peshawar, have been increased.
According to the spokesperson of the Khyber Teaching Hospital, the OPD and emergency slip fee has been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 50.
The admission and operation theatre fee has been fixed from Rs 350 to Rs 500.
The spokesperson says that the fees were to be brought at par with other teaching hospitals by making changes, which is why the fees have been increased.
He has said that the purpose of the increase in fees is to further improve the facilities in the hospital.
According to the spokesperson of the Khyber Teaching Hospital, free treatment of patients under Sehat Card, Zakat and Bait-ul-Mal is continuing in the hospital.
