PESHAWAR: In addition to liver, kidney and bone marrow transplants, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also included installation of hearing devices and hear treatment in the Sehat Card Plus facility.
Talking to media persons Barristor Saif said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken another important step in the health sector and announced to provide free treatment for four expensive and complex diseases in the “Sehat Card Plus” program. Under this initiative, in addition to liver, kidney and bone marrow transplants, hearing aid installation treatment has also been included in the Sehat Card.
Adviser for Information Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial government has taken another historic decision for public welfare, which will directly benefit millions of citizens of the province.
Barrister Saif further said that a pilot project of OPD services is also being started from Mardan soon, so that patients can also get primary treatment facilities through Sehat Card.
He said that currently free medical facilities are being provided to 16 million people across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through “Sehat Card Plus”. So far, the number of people who have benefited from this program has exceeded 4.2 million, on which more than 128 billion rupees have been spent.
He further said that free treatment is being provided to the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 753 hospitals on the Sehat Card panel across the province. According to him, all this is a continuation of the vision of founding chairman PTI Imran Khan, which aims to provide equal health facilities to every citizen.
The Information Advisor also indicated that in the next phase, more diseases will be included in the Sehat Card program, so that the solution to all the problems faced by the people regarding health can be provided as a state responsibility.
