The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has officially announced its decision to release the salaries and pensions of all provincial government employees ahead of schedule, on May 30, 2025.
This move has been taken in view of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha holidays and the anticipated closure of banks on June 1, which may otherwise cause employees and pensioners inconvenience in receiving their monthly payments on time.
According to a formal notification issued by the Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the provincial authorities have directed all relevant departments and financial institutions to ensure that salaries and pensions for May are processed and disbursed by May 30. This early payment will benefit thousands of government employees and pensioners across the province, enabling them to make necessary preparations for the Eid celebrations without financial constraints.
The notification further emphasised that the decision was made in the public interest, aiming to facilitate government workers and retirees before the festive season. The Finance Department has reassured all concerned that the required funds will be made available to departments and disbursing offices promptly to avoid any delays in the payment process.
In summary, the KP Government’s initiative to release May salaries and pensions before the end of the month reflects its commitment to supporting its workforce, particularly during important cultural and religious occasions.
