US President Donald Trump has made a unique offer that if Canada becomes part of the United States, Canada can get his proposed modern missile defense system “Golden Dome” for free.
US President Trump, who has repeatedly expressed his desire to make Canada the 51st state of the United States, said on his social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday that if Canada becomes part of the United States, it will get the ‘Golden Dome’ defense system for free.
Trump said that if Canada remains a sovereign state, it will have to pay $61 billion to become part of the defense system.
Cnadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said last week that his country is considering investing in the proposed $175 billion project. However, Canada is not at all ready to join the United States.
The plan for the most advanced defense system ‘Golden Dome’
Recently, US President Donald Trump announced the plan for a new missile defense system “Golden Dome” to protect the United States from foreign attacks and said that this system would be operational by the end of his second term in office.
Trump had said that $175 billion would be spent on the Golden Dome defense system.
The US President had said that some parts of the Golden Dome defense system would also be in Earth’s orbit, this system would also include satellite tracking and space interceptors. The Golden Dome defense system would also be capable of shooting down missiles launched from space.
