QUETTA: The funeral prayer for martyred Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Hidayatullah Buledi was held in his hometown, Bhag Nari. The ceremony was attended by senior civil and military officials, along with a large number of civil society members. Police and Levies personnel presented a guard of honour in tribute.
Buledi was martyred on Friday in Surab during a terrorist attack. Remembered for his integrity, dedication, and courage, his death is considered an irreparable loss for both his family and the region.
According to a statement by the Balochistan government, the attack on Buledi’s residence was carried out by Indian-sponsored proxies. Government spokesperson Shahid Rind confirmed that Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) militants not only targeted Buledi’s home but also looted a bank and attacked other government officials’ residences in Surab. Buledi was martyred while heroically defending his home, setting, as Rind noted, “a new example of bravery.”
The spokesperson added that the attackers were acting on behalf of India, and a search operation is currently underway in the area to apprehend those involved.
