PESHAWAR:The Peshawar High Court has sought a response from the provincial government regarding a petition filed by local government representatives over the non-provision of development funds. The hearing, conducted by a bench comprising Justice Waqar Ahmed and Justice Farah Jamshed, addressed grievances raised by chairmen of various tehsils.
Babar Khan Yousafzai Advocate, representing the petitioners, argued that development funds have not been released to elected local government representatives for three years since the elections. He emphasized that despite the court issuing a notice to the government earlier, no response has been submitted.
