Gold prices rise for second straight day amid market uncertainty

Gold rates in the domestic market surged by Rs 5,900 per tola on Monday, with 24-karat gold trading at Rs 353,100, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a significant increase, rising by Rs 5,058 to reach Rs 302,726. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold were priced at Rs 277,508, reflecting a rise of Rs 4,636.

In the international market, gold prices increased by $59 per ounce, now standing at $3,347. This trend mirrors the bullish movement in the domestic market, with analysts attributing the rally to renewed investor interest in safe-haven assets amid global economic uncertainties.

Despite the sharp rise in gold prices, silver prices remained stable. Silver was traded at Rs 3,456 per tola and Rs 2,962 per 10 grams, showing no change in both domestic and international markets.

According to the Saraf Association, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan has also decreased by Rs 700, after which the price has come down to Rs 348,600, while ten grams of gold has become cheaper by Rs 599 to Rs 298,886.
According to the data, the price of silver per tola in Pakistan has remained at $ 3,380, and the price per ounce in the global market has remained at $ 33.22.
