D.I KHAN: At least 11 employees of a private company were kidnapped from the Daraban Dumanda Highway in DI Khan, however, six employees were rescued after firing with CTD police personnel.
According to CTD sources, 16 employees in three vehicles were going from Islamabad to Quetta when the kidnappers stopped two vehicles on the way and forcibly took away 11 people in them.
After receiving the information about the incident, the police took immediate action and rescued six employees during the pursuit, but five people are still missing. A large-scale operation was carried out in Kalachi and Daraban on the information about the kidnapping, during which there was an exchange of fire between the police and the kidnappers.
No information has been revealed about the kidnappers yet and where they have taken the hostages. A search operation is underway by the security forces in the area to recover the kidnapped employees, while security has been tightened in the area, and an operation has been started for their recovery. DPO Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada said that the kidnapped employees will be safely recovered soon.
