ABBOTABAD: A massive fire broke out early Friday in Qalandarabad Bazaar, reducing goods to ashes and causing significant financial losses to seven shops.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, three fire engines and two ambulances were immediately dispatched from Abbottabad upon receiving the report. Due to the intensity of the blaze, an additional rescue team was called in from Mansehra to assist in firefighting efforts.
The fire rapidly spread across adjacent shops, including those selling dry fruits, bakery items, mobile accessories, hardware, tack supplies, toys, and fried snacks such as samosas and pakoras.
Rescue teams acted swiftly and managed to bring the fire under control after several hours of effort. Cooling operations are currently underway.
No casualties were reported due to the timely response by emergency services also helped prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby plaza and other shops. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
