Faisal Karim Kundi demands investigation into Abbas Afridi’s Death in Kohat

KP governor Kundi condemns terrorist incident in Pahalgam Kashmir

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, has raised serious questions about the incident that led to the death of Abbas Afridi in Kohat, questioning whether it was truly a gas leakage explosion or a terrorist conspiracy. He called for a thorough investigation into the matter.

He remarked that a gas leakage explosion during this season is beyond comprehension. He further stated that if the initial investigation report proves unsatisfactory, he would consult with Abbas Afridi’s family to decide on the future course of action.

Faisal Karim Kundi expressed a lack of trust in the provincial government, accusing it of handing over the province to terrorists and failing to protect its citizens. He alleged that the provincial government operates with a one-point agenda of corruption and looting, citing the Kohistan and wheat scandals as clear examples. He harshly criticized the provincial leadership, saying, “Our province is being ruled by Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.” He also expressed concern over the police, stating, “You can’t expect anything good from a police force that provides protection to an absconding Chief Minister.”

Lastly, he rejected the statements made by provincial ministers regarding the gas leak explanation in Abbas Afridi’s case, calling them absurd and laughable.
