KP Police Pay Hike Proposed in 2025-26 Budget

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has proposed a significant increase in police salaries in the upcoming 2025-26 budget, aiming to bring pay scales on par with Punjab Police.

Under the proposal, officers from grades 1 to 16 will see raised salaries, along with matching perks and privileges. Additionally, grade 17 and above personnel will receive enhanced allowances.

A Rs. 16 billion special allocation has also been proposed to strengthen the Tribal Areas Police, focusing on modern equipment and capacity building.

IGP Zulfiqar Hameed welcomed the move, stating that the raise would boost morale amid KP Police’s frontline role in counterterrorism.
