ISLAMABAD Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iran, labeling the attack as a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. The Pakistani government has expressed deep concern over the escalation and warned of its potentially grave consequences for regional and global peace.
In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad described the Israeli airstrikes as “unprovoked and unlawful,” asserting that the assault constituted a direct breach of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The statement underscored that such unilateral use of force undermines the fundamental principles of international relations and diplomacy.
“The attack on Iran is a blatant act of aggression that cannot be justified under any pretext,” said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “Every sovereign nation, including Iran, has the inalienable right to defend its people and territory.”
The Ministry emphasized that Israeli actions are not only a clear violation of established international norms but also pose a significant threat to the peace and stability of the wider Middle East region. The spokesperson warned that continued military provocations risk sparking a broader conflict, with potentially catastrophic consequences for global security.
Pakistan also expressed unwavering solidarity with the people and government of Iran during this difficult time. Reaffirming its commitment to peace and justice, Islamabad called on the international community, particularly the United Nations and influential global powers, to take urgent and meaningful steps to de-escalate the situation.
“We urge the international community to take immediate notice of this grave development, and to hold the aggressor state accountable,” the statement read. “Delaying action will only embolden further violations and escalate tensions in an already volatile region.”
The Ministry concluded by stressing that the protection of international peace and stability requires immediate, coordinated, and effective global intervention. “It is imperative that the world acts now to prevent further bloodshed and to uphold the principles of justice, sovereignty, and peace,” the spokesperson added.
