Ahmed Karim Kundi rejects KP budget 2025-26, citing financial concerns

Peshawar: Ahmed Karim Kundi, the parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has stated that they reject the budget presented by the provincial government today.

Speaking to the media, Kundi expressed surprise at the announcement of a surplus budget exceeding 150 billion. He questioned Advisor Muzammil Aslam, who refers to himself as Aristotle, for inflating the actual figures.

Kundi emphasised that they completely reject this budget, labelling it as one presented by “forty thieves.” He pointed out that while the government claims to have a development budget of over 500 billion, they do not have the capacity to manage more than 150 billion.

He also criticised the Chief Minister, asserting that their economic situation has deteriorated under his leadership. Kundi accused the Chief Minister of mismanaging the FATA House and making significant errors. He further noted that there are no policies in the budget to support the youth, suggesting that the ideological workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are being manipulated.
