ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul has claimed that party chairman Imran Khan remains completely isolated in jail, with authorities preventing anyone from meeting him.
Speaking on Pakhtun Digital podcast, Gul dismissed allegations that Khan has remained silent on Israel’s actions. “If they really want his statement on Israel, they should first release him,” she challenged. “Then see how he responds.”
The former minister drew parallels with Pakistan’s traditional rivals, questioning: “Neither Nawaz Sharif, nor Shehbaz Sharif, nor Maryam Nawaz ever spoke against Modi during Pak-India tensions. Why is Imran Khan expected to comment while imprisoned?”
Gul maintained that given the opportunity, Khan would never remain silent on the Palestinian issue. Her comments come amid ongoing criticism of Khan’s alleged silence on Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
