High-level meeting reviews security for Mohmand Dam

MOHAMNAD: A high-level meeting was held to review the security arrangements for the Mohmand Dam, attended by key officials from the civil administration, police, military, and WAPDA.

The meeting, led by Deputy Commissioners Yasir Hassan (Mohmand) and Qaiser Khan (Charsadda), along with DPOs Ikramullah (Mohmand) and Suleman Zafar (Charsadda), focused on strengthening security coordination. Brigadier Razi Khan, WAPDA General Manager Hassan Rauf, and other officers also participated.

Officials discussed the current security situation and finalized a joint strategy to improve safety measures, enhance inter-district coordination, and counter potential threats.

DPO Mohmand Ikramullah emphasized that protecting the dam—a nationally critical project—requires strong teamwork between all agencies. He highlighted the need for better communication and coordination.

All participants agreed to maintain close cooperation to ensure the dam’s security remains foolproof.
