ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), highlighted the pivotal role of students as Pakistan’s frontline in the ongoing information war during a special session at the Saylani IT Program in Karachi.
Commending their awareness and dedication, he lauded the students’ proactive stance on national security issues, particularly in light of the recent success of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos—a significant achievement reaffirming Pakistan’s enduring commitment to peace over conflict.
During the session, students posed thoughtful questions about the internal and external security challenges facing the country. General Sharif underscored that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain disciplined, professional, and unwavering in executing their constitutional responsibilities and directives from the state.
He reiterated Pakistan’s role as a net stabiliser in the region, vowing continued efforts to uphold regional peace. The DG ISPR also stressed the symbolic and strategic importance of Kashmir, referring to it as Pakistan’s “jugular vein,” while affirming the strong cultural, religious, and traditional bonds linking Balochistan with the rest of the country.
The session concluded with students expressing their wholehearted support for the military, pledging readiness to defend the nation across all fronts. They praised the opportunity for open dialogue and called for more such engagements in the future, affirming, “Pakistan always lives on.”
Earlier, during an address at Jinnah University for Women, DG ISPR credited students with playing a vital role in shaping public discourse during the recent conflict with India, helping dismantle strategic narratives under Operation Sindoor.
