PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi attended the 17th convocation of Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology as chief guest on Thursday, distributing degrees to 225 graduates and gold medals to 38 top performers.
During the ceremony attended by university officials, faculty and students, Kundi criticized unfulfilled development promises for tribal areas. “Tribal districts were promised Rs 100 billion, but neither federal nor provincial governments have delivered,” he told media.
The Governor condemned taxing tribal residents while denying them basic facilities, calling it “unfair.” He also commented on regional politics, accusing Israel of destabilizing the Middle East through attacks on Iran and Palestine.
On provincial matters, Kundi emphasized that approving KP’s budget remains the government’s constitutional duty regardless of political negotiations.
