Terrorist attack in South Waziristan left five dead include three soldiers and five others injured

Security Forces kill 158 terrorists across KP in March

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Three security personnel and two innocent civilians were martyred and five others injured during the exchange of fire in Barmail area of South Waziristan agency on Tuesday.

According to reliable police sources, the attackers ambushed a security convoy, opening heavy fire on the personnel deployed in the region to maintain peace and stability. The surprise nature of the assault caught security forces off guard initially, but they quickly regrouped and returned fire to repel the attackers.

Three members of the security forces lost their lives defending the area, while two civilians caught in the crossfire were also killed. Moreover, three security officials and two civilians were wounded and rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana, where they are currently receiving urgent medical treatment. Authorities have described the injuries as serious but are hopeful for the recovery of the injured.

In response to the attack, security forces mounted a swift and robust counter-operation. The affected area was immediately cordoned off to prevent the escape of the militants. Security personnel launched a comprehensive search operation, combing the area for any remaining hostile elements and gathering intelligence to prevent further attacks.
