He discussed the fundamental causes of climate change and its wide-ranging impacts across various sectors.
Mr. Ayaz stressed the significance of nature-based solutions and shared strategies for effective ecosystem restoration and management. He also underlined the vulnerability of children, the elderly, and women to climate change, highlighting the need for localized adaptive measures to protect these groups.
In support of the “Beat Plastic Pollution” campaign, students actively participated in a campus-wide cleanup, collecting plastic waste and raising awareness about the environmental hazards associated with plastic pollution.
The event concluded with a strong message of commitment to climate action, resilience, and environmental stewardship among the students and faculty of the University of Shangla.
