The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly approved a supplementary budget of Rs 240 billion, Rs 13.751 billion, for 62 departments.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial government approved a supplementary budget of Rs 240 billion, 13.751 billion, while the opposition motions were rejected.
During the supplementary budget, the opposition moved motions for cuts in only 2 departments, but the Speaker, using his powers, overruled all the motions for cuts.
The provincial government’s ministers presented demands for funds for their respective departments, which the government approved based on a majority.
On the other hand, the opposition protested against the removal of their demands and walked out of the house.
