North Waziristan – Patients and their families at Miranshah Women’s Hospital faced severe distress due to prolonged power outages and extreme heat. Taking immediate action, the district administration, led by Tehsildar Ghani Wazir, conducted a surprise inspection following special orders from Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Yousuf Karim.
Upon witnessing the difficulties faced by patients, the team alerted DC Karim, who promptly ordered emergency power restoration from 10 PM to 6 AM. He also assured that efforts would be made to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to the hospital soon.
Patients and their relatives expressed relief and thanked the administration for the quick response. They highlighted that Miranshah Hospital is the only major healthcare facility in North Waziristan, serving patients from across the region, and urged authorities to ensure 24-hour electricity to prevent further suffering.
