NDMA issues warning for heavy rains and floods from today until July 5

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert for severe monsoon rains and possible floods throughout the country from today to July 5.

According to the details, the NDMA has issued an alert regarding monsoon rains and possible flooding in various areas throughout the country during the next 3 to 4 days.

According to the NDMA, today from June 29 to July 5, heavy rain is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Potohar, Abutabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Balakot, Meri, Gilat, causing landslides and flooding in rivers.

In the cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Swat, Chitral, DI Khan, Bannon, and Mardan, urban flooding and the connecting rivers of Kabul, Swat, Chitral, and Henza are expected to increase in water flow.

The NDMA said that from today to July 5, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the cities of Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Narowal, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sheikhupura and Kasur, which may cause flooding in low-lying areas.

According to the NDMA, there is a possibility of flooding in the rivers of Hazarah, Malakand, Azad Kashmir and Pir Panjal and landslides in the mountainous areas.

According to NDMA’s alert, heavy rains are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, তুত্ন and Badin from July 2 to 5, and there is a risk of urban flooding in Karachi, Hyderabad, দুতা and Badin due to heavy rains.

The National Disaster Management Authority says that due to heavy rains and strong winds, there is a risk of weak constructions, rough walls, electricity poles and billboards falling, while during storms and storms, visibility may also be reduced, which can cause accidents, so be careful.

The NDMA appealed to the public to avoid crossing streams and weak infrastructure, stay away from trees and power poles while tourists stay aware of weather conditions.

The NDMA has issued instructions to all relevant institutions to ensure that advanced measures are taken to deal with any possible emergency situation.
