Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleema Khan said that as per the party Chairman Imran Khan, PTI will start a mass mobilisation movement after the 10th of Muharram.

He was talking to journalists outside the Anti-Terrorism Court regarding the party’s upcoming political strategy and the difficult circumstances faced by the party’s founder and incarcerated members.

According to Alima Khan, the party has received direct instructions from Imran Khan to initiate a new phase of political activism following the 10th of Muharram. She shared that the PTI leadership has already devised a comprehensive plan for this movement, signaling a renewed and organised effort to mobilise supporters.

Aleema Khan also revealed the founder’s sharp criticism of recent political developments, specifically referring to the proposed 27th Amendment. She quoted Imran Khan’s powerful statement that, given the current political climate, it might be better to abandon constitutional amendments and instead “establish a monarchy,” underscoring the perceived erosion of democratic processes and the growing authoritarianism in the country.

The PTI leader stressed that their movement is fundamentally about freedom. “The founder has urged the people to stand up and fight for their liberty,” she explained. Imran Khan has also expressed that he would prefer imprisonment over submission to oppression, highlighting his commitment to resist what he terms ‘slavery.’
