KP CM Gandapur Visits Kohati Command Post to Inspect Muharram Security

PESHAWAR:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur visited the Kohati Supreme Command Post in Peshawar to review security arrangements for Muharram.

During his visit, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of observing MKP CM Gandapur Visits Kohati Command Post to Inspect Muharram Securityuharram with devotion, stating it is the duty of all Muslims. He highlighted that the holy month teaches lessons of standing for truth and patience.

Gandapur detailed the extensive security measures in place across the province. He mentioned that around ten thousand religious gatherings and approximately one thousand Ashura processions are held in KP. To ensure safety, more than 36,000 police and law enforcement personnel are on duty. Control rooms have been set up at various levels, including a large provincial control room, to monitor all gatherings closely. The Chief Minister praised all institutions performing their duties diligently in the heat.

Regarding emergency response, Gandapur confirmed that Rescue 1122 teams and Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) crews are ready for any situation. He acknowledged current shortages in rescue services and pledged to resolve them, promising to provide all necessary rescue equipment to the concerned departments. He also committed to addressing problems and losses observed during this period.

On other matters, Gandapur vowed that those responsible for the recent Swat tragedy would be punished. He also announced that operations against illegal encroachments would be conducted without political bias or revenge, applying equally to everyone involved.
