Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi met with Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the security situation across the country and the arrangements made for Ashura. The Prime Minister praised the Chief Ministers of various provinces, including Maryam Nawaz, Murad Ali Shah, Ali Amin Gandapur, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, and Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Gulbar Khan, the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, for their effective security preparations in their regions during Ashura.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of the provincial administration, police, security forces, and Rangers. He emphasised that thanks to the thorough and professional planning by the provincial governments and security forces, the public was able to observe Ashura peacefully.
The Interior Minister stated that the government had implemented all necessary measures to ensure security arrangements and provide facilities for the people during Ashura. The Prime Minister also commended Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for organising the Ashura arrangements effectively.
