ISLAMABAD: PTI Member of National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat has claimed that opposition parties cannot successfully bring a no-confidence motion against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Speaking on a private TV channel, Marwat launched a strong critique of the current state of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. He asserted that the party’s original ideological struggle has been “completely destroyed” and that its founder, Imran Khan, is not being informed of the true situation within PTI.
Marwat disputed official reports suggesting everything is fine in the party, stating that ground realities are different. He emphasized that movements require more than just claims, highlighting the need for public communication, trust, and the practical, physical presence of leadership. “Workers need assurance the leader will come to the field,” Marwat said, adding that speeches alone don’t bring change.
Regarding the party founder, Marwat referenced an incident on November 26th (implying shots fired at Imran Khan) and criticized the lack of effective action since to address underlying fears.
Marwat expressed frustration with the toxic language on social media and a severe lack of respect within PTI. He stated that while he’s “fed up,” he remains open to supporting those who apologize for past behaviour. He lamented that very few in the party support him during difficult times and called on the leadership to restore worker confidence, concluding, “We came out for an ideology, but today this ideology is not in good con
dition.”
