KP govt lays foundation stone for Rs 50 million sports complex in Nowshera

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has taken a major step toward promoting youth engagement in healthy and constructive activities by laying the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art sports complex in the Tarujba area of Nowshera district.

The project, estimated to cost Rs 50 million, was officially inaugurated by Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ashfaq Ahmed, who attended the foundation stone laying ceremony on Monday.

Speaking at the event, MPA Ashfaq Ahmed highlighted the government’s commitment to youth development through sports infrastructure. “The provincial government is establishing sports complexes in every region to encourage young people to participate in healthy and positive activities,” he said.

He further added that the Tarujba Sports Complex will not only offer modern sports facilities but also serve as a vital community hub for promoting teamwork, discipline, and physical well-being among the local youth.

The complex is expected to include facilities for multiple sports, training grounds, and seating arrangements for spectators, aiming to nurture young talent in the area and provide an alternative to unproductive pastimes.

Residents and youth welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that the project would contribute to both physical development and social harmony in the region.

Construction work on the complex is set to begin immediately, with completion expected within the next year.
