Breakthrough achieved in talks between North Waziristan, Utmanzai tribe Jirga, and senior officials

In the important talks held between the Utmanzai tribe Jirga and top military officials in North Waziristan, several measures have been agreed upon to resolve public issues.
On Friday, representatives of the Utmanzai tribe Jirga members held a detailed jirga with GOC 7 Division Major General Adil Iftikhar, in which the overall situation of the area and the problems faced by the people were discussed.
During the jirga, the Utmanzai Jirga members highlighted issues such as public difficulties, security situation, and lack of basic facilities and presented various suggestions to provide relief to the people.
Taking serious note of the words of the jirga members, Major General Adil Iftikhar directed several important measures.
He announced the lifting of the ban on petroleum products in North Waziristan, while also issuing instructions to provide facilities to the people at check posts.
In addition, Section 144, which was implemented in the district from today, has been lifted, which is being considered a big relief for the local population.
The GOC also assured that mobile and internet services will be fully restored in the next two to three days. Along with this, instructions have also been issued to immediately lift the restrictions imposed on ongoing development projects in North Waziristan.
