CHARSADDA: An elderly poor citizen has been deceived by Afghan National while including their names in the family registration tree allegedly with fraudulent and illegal manner.
The fraudsters first obtained a national identity card by luring the head of the family, the poor citizen, to get assistance money from the Zakat Department. On the same identity card, they illegally obtained the birth certificates of three Afghan youths from Peshawar district and based on these certificates, they obtained identity cards from the NADRA Charsadda office. The elderly poor citizen has also filed a daily report against the fraudsters in the city police station, but no FIR has been registered against them yet.
The records of NADRA Charsadda District have revealed that in the last five years, more than 400 complaints have been received in Charsadda about the illegal inclusion of unrelated persons in the family registration card. According to a daily report registered in Police Station City, a month ago, two fraudsters Asim and Meraj Gul obtained the identity cards of poor citizen Inayatullah, resident of Gedar Kalay, Charsadda, by deceiving him with Zakat assistance money.
After that, they illegally made birth certificates for three Afghans Sher Khan, Hashmat Khan and Farazullah from the secretary of the village council Sarbland pura of union council Kamboh of district Peshawar.
It should be remembered that the village council secretary of another district cannot issue birth certificates to residents of any other district. However, the forgers obtained identity cards from the NADRA office in Charsadda on the basis of these illegal birth certificates.
According to the records of the Village Council Sarbalandpura of Union Council Kamboh in Peshawar district, birth certificates were made for Hashmatullah and Farazullah on June 13, 2025 at 11:43 am, while for Sher Khan on June 14, 2025 at 11:51 am. According to the Village Council Secretary, the person who made the birth certificates obtained three birth certificates after seeing the original identity card of the head of the family, Inayatullah.
As per the rules and regulations, the said Village Council Secretary has issued birth certificates of the Village Council of Peshawar, despite being identity card holders of District Charsadda, which are illegal. Later, the said agent based them on the birth certificates and completed the process of obtaining identity cards for these three alleged persons at the NADRA office in Charsadda after 09 pm two weeks ago. On the other hand, according to the affected citizen Inayatullah, when he came to know that the said agent had brought him to the NADRA office instead of the Zakat office, he informed the other people.
However, he was asked to remain silent and his thumbs were put on the papers. According to the NADRA Charsadda officials, all legal proceedings have been completed to obtain the identity cards of these three people, however, on the complaint of the affected citizen, the higher officials of NADRA have been informed about these three people.
In this regard, the affected citizen has alleged that despite handing over all the records of all the accused to the police, no cases have been registered against these accused till date. In this regard, according to DSP Zardad Khan, an inquiry has been started on the daily report registered on the complaint of the affected citizen, which will be registered on completion. In this regard, according to NADRA sources, more than 400 such complaints have been received in Charsadda in the last five years, in which NADRA officials have also been dismissed from their jobs during the proceedings on some complaints.
