The Election Commission of Pakistan has completed administrative preparations for the elections to be held on July 21 for 11 Senate seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has issued a notification for the appointment of 8 polling officers.
According to the official notification issued, these officers will supervise the arrangements for polling on the day of the Senate election and complete the election process in a transparent and orderly manner.
The decision to appoint them has been taken in accordance with the procedure set by the Election Commission for the Senate elections.
On the other hand, notifications of successful candidates for the two reserved seats of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have also been issued.
Shahida Waheed of the Awami National Party (ANP) was declared successful on the reserved seat for women, while the victory of Gurpal Singh of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) was officially announced on the minority seat.
