PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly has called a session today at 9 am to administer the oath to 25 newly elected members who won on reserved seats.
According to sources, strict security measures have been put in place, and no guests will be allowed inside the assembly during the session. The ban has been imposed to prevent any potential disruptions.
There are concerns that if the session fails to meet the required quorum, the oath-taking could be delayed. Sources also fear that if the new members are not sworn in, their supporters may protest outside the assembly.
The move comes amid political tensions, with opposition members closely monitoring the proceedings.
