RAWALPINDI: Rescue 1122 has completed its preparations ahead of the fourth spell of monsoon rains, expected to begin on July 21. In anticipation of potential emergencies, all personnel leaves have been canceled, and a district-wide emergency alert has been issued.
According to a department spokesperson, ambulances, fire tenders, water rescue teams, and essential machinery have been placed on full alert. Rescue teams are currently conducting field exercises and drills to ensure a rapid response during any crisis.
Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) have also been mobilized to support rescue operations. Additionally, awareness campaigns are being carried out in various areas to educate residents on evacuation protocols and basic first aid.
