PESHAWAR: The protest set-in of 139 employees dismissed from Bacha Khan University continues for the 3rd consecutive day as the employees warned that they would continue their set-in for an indefinite period of time until restoration of their jobs.
Talking to Pakhtun Digital Awami National Party, former district General Secretary Farooq Khan said that these are not 139 employees, but these are 139 families. He said that the vice chancellors are not taking their demand seriously. He said that these employees were present when terrorists attacked Bacha Khan University.
He warned that the vice chancellor of Swat should not commit atrocities on the poor people of Charsadda, and if they were pushed toward the wall, they would not allow him to work in this University. He said that ANP would not allow PTI ministers and vice chancellors to deprive the people of Charsadda of their rights.
The protesters thanked Awami National Party district cabinet for their support and said that in this difficult time, only the ANP leaders supported them for their rights. The protesters said that PTI leaders have made tall claims to give employment to the people of Charsadda, but instead of providing new jobs, the employees were deprived of their existing jobs.
They said that tomorrow they will take out 1000 people to block the main road and will not leave their protest until restoration of their jobs. On this occasion, Farooq Khan promised them to support them in their struggle for their genuine rights.
