BANNU: District Sports Association expressed jubilation over Pakistan’s victory in under 16 volleyball competition against Iran and congratulated the players of Bannu for their successful performance in the final match of the volleyball against Iran.
On this occasion, players, officer bearers of Bannu Sports Association and parents of the players were present to grace the occasion. Addressing the occasion father of Volley Ball player Juned said that the land of Bannu is fertile enough to produce such youngsters who could earn a good name for the country.
He said that despite limited resources, the players of Bannu have not only excelled in volleyball but also in other games like Hockey and cricket. He said that today he naming this victory for the sacrifices of security forces and victims of terrorism who laid their lives in the line of duty.
He said that if the platform is available, this nation is not behind in any field from other players in the world. He said that at the International event of Under-16 Volleyball Championship held in Thailand, the Pakistani team created a new history by defeating Iran.
When the hero players of the victory reached Bannu, the scene of the city was spectacular. The beat of drums, the shower of garlands and the enthusiasm of the people, everything was full of joy.
